Xiaomi has retired dozens of smartphones and tablets
Xiaomi has updated the official list of devices that have reached EOL status, meaning they are no longer receiving software support. The list includes dozens of smartphone and tablet models from Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO, which will no longer receive operating system updates, new versions of HyperOS, or security patches.

The devices on the list include the entire flagship Xiaomi 11 series, including the Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra, as well as the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro. Support has been lost for the Xiaomi 12 Pro Dimensity Edition and the Xiaomi Pad 5 series tablets. Budget models have also been affected: the list includes the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, as well as the popular Redmi 10 and Redmi 10A. Among POCO devices, support has been discontinued for the F4, X4 GT, M4 Pro, M5s, and the ultra-budget C40 and C50.
Being placed on the EOL list means that the listed devices will no longer receive any firmware updates, including critical vulnerability fixes. The company also stops responding to bug reports and security issues found in these models. Typically, devices released more than two to three years ago are included on this list.
Owners of these smartphones and tablets can still use them for everyday tasks, such as making calls, accessing the internet, and running apps. However, the lack of security updates makes the devices vulnerable to new viruses and hacker attacks. This is especially critical for those who use their devices for banking or working with sensitive data. In some cases, switching to custom firmware based on more recent versions of Android may be a solution, but this requires certain skills and is associated with risks.
