The creators of 007 First Light showed a new Bond: younger and more talkative
IO Interactive continues to reveal details of its ambitious project, 007 First Light. In the latest installment of the "Beyond the Light" series, the developers detailed their version of the legendary agent, and the main change concerns his character—Bond will be much more talkative than fans are accustomed to.
The creators explained that this decision was dictated by the very nature of a video game, where the player is constantly with the hero and hears his comments and reactions to events. The young agent, still developing as a person, will actively interact with his environment and express his thoughts. This will make him more relatable and humane, adding humor even to extreme situations like jumping out of a window.
The team is focusing on creating an original story explaining how the famous spy achieved his legendary status. The developers are building on traits that audiences have loved for over sixty years and exploring the hero's journey to the confidence and omniscience for which he is renowned. This is a story of development, not just a collection of spectacular scenes.

Familiar characters will also play a significant role in the narrative. In IO Interactive's version, Moneypenny will be a field analyst who maintains constant contact with Bond. Their dialogue will play a significant role in the game, deepening the relationship between the characters. Q and Greenway will also be portrayed in new ways, gradually shaping the world of British intelligence that will ultimately lead to the agent familiar to fans from the films.
