New details have emerged online about Apple's first foldable smartphone, rumored to launch this year. Insider Sonny Dixon has published CAD renders of the future device, allowing us to get a detailed look at its possible design even before its official unveiling.

According to the images, the iPhone Fold will vaguely resemble the first-generation Google Pixel Fold. The device's external display is expected to measure 5.5 inches, while the internal foldable screen, made using LTPO technology, will be 7.8 inches. The 4:3 aspect ratio of the internal panel, according to insiders, will make the device ideal for everyday use.

The rear panel will feature an elongated main camera module with two sensors, presumably 48 megapixels, and an LED flash. The internal flexible screen will have a round cutout in the upper left corner for the front camera. Previous reports suggested the device's case would be made of titanium to reduce weight, and its battery capacity would be an impressive 5500 mAh.

The iPhone Fold is expected to be unveiled in the fall of 2026, alongside the new iPhone 18 Pro lineup. If these rumors are confirmed, this would be Apple's most significant foray into the foldable device market, which has long been dominated by competitors from South Korea and China.
