Rumor: Ezio Auditore may appear in Assassin's Creed Hexe as a mentor

Reputable insider Tom Henderson has shared information that could excite the millions of fans of the Assassin's Creed series. According to him, the legendary Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the protagonist of three iconic games in the franchise, may appear in the upcoming Assassin's Creed Hexe. Developers at Ubisoft Montreal are reportedly considering introducing him mid-story as a mentor to the main witch character, who will learn the ways of the Assassins under his guidance.

This development fits perfectly with the universe's timeline. Ezio died in 1524, and Hexe is set in the 16th century, leaving room for the characters to meet. However, Henderson warns that plans are subject to change: Ubisoft is currently reworking some elements of the game, including the combat system, for which a professional acrobat has been hired. Therefore, a final decision on the inclusion of the iconic character has not yet been made.

Despite the recent departure of the project's creative director, Clint Hocking, an insider is urging fans not to panic. According to him, the development team is pleased with their progress, and the project is progressing well. Assassin's Creed Hexe is tentatively scheduled for release in late 2027.

Details about the game itself are still scarce. It is known that the action will take place in medieval Europe against the backdrop of witch hunts, and the main character is presumably named Elsa. Insiders are calling this project the darkest installment in the series, promising a unique experience even for seasoned fans of the franchise.
