Wolfenstein III plot details leak online: an orphan, a dog, and filming until 2027
For nearly a decade, fans of the latest Wolfenstein games have been waiting for a fitting conclusion to B.J. Blazkowicz's story. The controversial 2019 spinoff Youngblood, which featured the protagonist's daughters as the main characters, was met with little satisfaction. However, fans now have hope: MachineGames studio appears to be seriously pursuing a threequel.
According to MP1st, based on a leaked casting notice, the project is codenamed Valkyrie. Director Tom Keegan, known for his work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and casting director Emily Schweber, a veteran of Wolfenstein: The New Order and the Dead Space remake, are involved in the casting process. The studio is looking for a girl between the ages of eight and eleven to play Sophia, an orphan traumatized by the horrors of war who journeys alongside Blazkowicz. According to the description, initially suspicious and fearful, she blossoms under the Resistance's tutelage, developing into a strong survivor. Her constant companion will be a dog named Ralph, with whom she and the protagonist form an unexpected alliance.

Motion capture filming is scheduled to begin in April and continue intermittently until 2027, indicating full-scale production. The exact storyline remains unclear, but insiders suggest that BJ and Sofia's relationship may be reminiscent of Joel and Ellie's from The Last of Us. Notably, the game's release may coincide with the premiere of a Wolfenstein television series, which, like Fallout, Amazon Prime Video is developing. MachineGames' management has previously made no secret of its ambitions to complete the trilogy, and now it appears those plans are finally taking shape.
