Resident Evil Requiem sets series record for peak online player count on Steam
The latest installment of the cult horror series, Resident Evil Requiem, has had a triumphant launch on PC, instantly topping the global Steam sales charts. On its first day of release, the game surpassed such titles as Counter-Strike 2 and Baldur's Gate 3, the latter of which was sold at a substantial 25% discount. The project proved a success not only commercially but also in terms of audience engagement.

The peak concurrent player count exceeded 320,000, almost double the series' previous record. The Resident Evil 4 remake, previously considered the undisputed leader, reached 168,000 users. This result clearly demonstrates the high level of fan interest in returning to the ominous Raccoon City, home to some of the most terrifying nightmares in video game history.
Requiem takes place in a familiar city devastated by the T-virus outbreak. The plot centers on two key characters: legendary bioweapons veteran Leon Kennedy and FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from the Resident Evil Outbreak duology.
